Claim this listingRose Bowl Steakhouse and Restaurant has been a Baguio landmark since 1969 (some accounts trace it to 1945), one of the city's classic home-grown Chinese restaurants. After decades at its old location on Harrison Road across Burnham Park, it relocated to a larger two-storey building on Upper General Luna Road near the Pink Sisters' Convent — wide and airy, with big glass windows that let in the mountain air and an elevated view of the city, decorated with orchids and an antique jade panel. The kitchen is Cantonese at heart, with an enormous menu spanning selected delicacies, soups, vegetables, seafood, chicken, pork and beef, noodles and rice, plus a clubhouse sandwich and group set menus. Dishes come family-sized and are served lauriat-style on lazy susans, making it a favorite for big groups and celebrations — many families keep a tradition of gathering here around Christmas and New Year. Long-loved plates include sweet-and-sour pork, chop suey made with fresh Baguio vegetables, pata tim, crispy pata, broccoli beef, pechay with lechon kawali, and Rose Bowl fried rice. Regulars praise the generous portions, attentive long-time staff, reasonable prices, parking and views. For nostalgic, shareable Chinese fare, it remains a Baguio staple.
