Nest Coffee Roasters is the second life of Cafe Yagam, the much-loved Cordilleran house-café on J. Felipe Street that permanently closed in September 2020 during the pandemic — two months later, its team opened this modest, white-fronted coffee stall inside the red-brick Calle Uno Food Hub on Escoda Street corner Naguilian Road, Quezon Hill. The mission carried over intact: top-tier Arabica carefully harvested from Cordillera coffee farms (supporting local farmers and fair trade), roasted in-house under the Yagam Coffee brand, and brewed to order with a personal touch — you pick your beans (Yagam single origins like Kibungan or La Trinidad, or Nest's special blends) and your method (pour-over, Aeropress, or siphon), or go for the espresso-based and specialty drinks. The baristas are genuine coffee people who quality-check each cup and happily talk through flavor notes, and the pour-over is rated among the best in Baguio at very gentle prices. The vintage, retro-cozy nook seats only a few — bigger groups can spill into Calle Uno's shared seating, alongside neighbors like Highland Smokehouse — and the shelves carry pastries (the donuts and brownies are favorites), coffee accessories, enamel mugs, stickers, and packed Yagam beans that make a great pasalubong, with nationwide shipping too. Note: the original cafe's Cordilleran food menu (pinikpikan, pinuneg) did not carry over — Nest is all about the coffee.
