Mahii Indian Cuisine is a relatively new but well-known Indian restaurant in Baguio, at 83 Gaerlan Street in Campo Filipino, believed to have opened around 2021. For a long time it operated mainly as a home-delivery kitchen and only later started dine-in service, and it is often called the most famous Indian restaurant in the city. The space is small and mostly open-air; you ring the bell or walk up to the window to order, pay, and collect your food at the counter, and there is room for only about one car to park on the street. The atmosphere is simple and casual — a small, cozy, open-air setting with Baguio's cool air and Indian music in the background, and the smell of the cooking is noticeable from outside. The food is North Indian: the best-known dishes are the chicken biryani and the samosas (cheese and potato), along with butter chicken, chicken masala, mutton curry and biryani, and paneer and lentil dishes for vegetarians. Breads include roti and several parathas, and there are lassi drinks and gulab jamun for dessert. The food is generally praised as delicious and authentic, and the staff are frequently described as friendly and accommodating. It accepts cash and digital payments and delivers through GrabFood and foodpanda. A heads-up: dishes are cooked to order (fresh, but it takes time), and items frequently sell out — much of the menu can be unavailable later in the evening — so for groups it is best to order ahead.
