Lemon and Olives Greek Taverna, opened in 2016, is Baguio City's first authentic Greek restaurant — helmed by Chef Takis, who hails from Athens, bringing a genuine Hellenic hand to the kitchen (the owner-chef reportedly ran a Greek restaurant in La Union before opening in Baguio). Perched on Outlook Drive (a short drive from Craft 1945 and the Mansion/Wright Park area), it's styled like a true taverna: whitewashed walls, wooden floors, wrought-iron lamps, and a spacious veranda that opens onto sweeping views of pine trees and the surrounding mountains — widely cited as one of the best dining views in the city. The menu is broad and genuinely Greek: mezze (the signature pan-fried Saganaki cheese, hummus, tzatziki, zucchini chips, grilled octopus, spanakopita, and the Poikilia sampler), souvlaki plates and gyros (chicken, beef, pork, lamb, and mixed), charcoal-grilled lamb chops (a house specialty), Greek kebabs, oven bakes (moussaka, pastitsio-style spaghetti, stuffed tomatoes and peppers), grilled seafood and premium steaks, plus standout salads (Greek, L&O, and the pomegranate-and-fig Evia). On weekends it opens early (7 AM) for a full Greek breakfast — strapatsada (tomato-feta scrambled eggs), hummus bowls, sourdough French toast, eggs benedict on homemade English muffins, and more. There's also an in-house dessert bar and frozen-yogurt counter (baklava, ekmek, loukoumades, Greek yogurt bowls, cheesecakes, cream puffs, pecan tarts), an espresso bar (Greek coffee, freddo, frappes), healthy smoothies, and even ouzo. Portions are generous and built for sharing — a solo salad easily feeds two. It's pet-friendly with ample parking and PWD accessibility, and seating is largely first-come, first-served, so expect a queue at peak times.
