L'Atelier Du Grain's SM City Baguio outlet is the brand's fourth branch and its first inside a mall, on Luneta Hill above Session Road — the largest shopping complex in North Luzon. The bakery was founded by Jackson and Cristina So in February 2023, in partnership with French pastry chef Didier Derouet, combining local flavors with European techniques and ingredients sourced locally and abroad; this SM branch opened around late 2025 / early 2026. It carries the brand's from-scratch, small-batch pastry lineup: flaky, properly buttery butter croissants laminated with Charentes-Poitou butter, almond croissants, pain au chocolat, the much-loved kouign-amann, madeleines, and a rotating case of tarts and cheesecakes (the strawberry-white-chocolate cheesecake tart is the runaway favorite; also walnut-honey, lemon meringue, mango, ube, and the local-flavor Benguet Cappuccino tart), plus sourdough, focaccia, baguettes, bagels, zucchini bread, and banana bread. Being inside SM makes it the most accessible L'Atelier outlet for mall-goers (and for pasalubong on the way out of the city). As with all L'Atelier branches, the verdict skews strongly positive, with pastries judged on par with the best in Manila. It joins the brand's Military Cut-Off flagship (widest selection), the Kisad shop, and the Leonard Wood Rd / The Marketplace branch.
