Korean Palace Restaurant — better known as Kung Jeon Korean Palace — is a long-running, hugely popular eat-all-you-can Korean BBQ buffet on South Drive near Camp John Hay, and a go-to for Baguio's sizable Korean community and visitors alike. It runs a self-service buffet: rather than waiting for servers to bring each plate, you help yourself to a spread of marinated and fresh meats — pork belly (samgyeopsal), bacon strips, beef, chicken, and the newer smoked-duck option — and grill them yourself at the table, alongside an impressive lineup of 20-plus Korean side dishes (kimchi, japchae, bean sprouts, tofu, tempura, kimbap, macaroni salad, fishcake, pancakes, rice, and soup), with ice cream and dessert to finish. Set in a cozy house-turned-restaurant with both indoor and al fresco seating to take advantage of Baguio's cold weather, it's prized above all for value: a flat ₱499 per head for the unlimited spread (drinks are separate), which after Manila prices feels like a steal — plus the fun, free perk of trying on traditional Korean hanbok costumes for photos against a customer photo wall. It's casual and family-and-barkada-friendly, great for big groups and long grilling-and-chatting sessions, with adequate parking that's allowed to overflow onto the roadside when full. A few practical heads-ups: it gets crowded and smoky at peak times (lunch especially), and you'll carry the grill smell home, so don't wear white; there's a 2-hour dining limit and an enforced no-waste rule (leftover food on the table incurs another ₱499 charge); drinks aren't included; and it's a bit far from the city proper, so a car or taxi is easiest. For budget-friendly, generous, authentic-leaning unli samgyeopsal in a cozy pine-air setting, it remains one of the most recommended in the city.
