Don Henrico's — "Don Hen" to generations of regulars — is one of Baguio's great food-success stories: founded in 1993 as a 75-seater on Session Road by a founder with a knack for mixing sauces and flavors, aimed at the city's university students, it grew into a phenomenon that expanded into a national chain across Luzon and Cebu. This Lower Session Road spot is the original branch, still carrying traces of its old naval-themed interior (regulars fondly recall the wooden ship counter), and it remains the nostalgic go-to: big, shareable plates of American-Italian comfort food on dough that's hand-stretched, hand-tossed, and baked to order with mozzarella grated fresh daily and a private-blend pizza sauce. The signature Don Henrico's Supreme (pepperoni, beef, ham, mushroom, pineapple, onion, bell pepper, black olives — order the 18-inch to feed a dozen) leads the lineup, backed by upstate New York-style buffalo wings with house-made ranch, petite mozzarella sticks with marinara, thin onion rings, Mexican deli tacos and burritos, hefty baked pastas and lasagna, calzones with Don Henrico's Hawaiian Sauce, and bottomless DH iced tea. The branch opens at 7 AM with Filipino silogs, omelettes, waffles, and pancakes. For many, the draw today is equal parts comfort food and nostalgia, best enjoyed as hot pizza in the cold Baguio air. Baguio has two more outlets: an Upper Session Road branch near Baguio Cathedral, and Stall 14, Lower Ground, SM City Baguio — all bookable on Eatigo with discounts.
