Baguio Craft Brewery is the city's first and only craft brewery, founded in 2014 by Christopher Ordas, who learned to brew in his Canadian garage before studying German and West Coast styles in Munich, Prague, and San Diego. Housed in the RKC Building on Marcos Highway (Km 4, Barangay Bakakeng Central), it pours 18+ rotating taps of additive-free handcrafted beer — including its signature "mythic" brews named after realms in Ifugao mythology (Pugaw IPA, Lagud strawberry beer, Kabunyan American wheat, Dalom brown ale, Daya lager) plus crowd favorites like Passion Fruit, West Coast IPA, and Hop Attack — and you can taste them free before ordering. The brewery and Tasting Room sit on the second floor, with a plant-filled, greenhouse-style "beer garden" bar and dining area above it overlooking the mountains, plus a deck for live music and the cool Baguio breeze. The kitchen — a collaboration with Edmark Bustos of Amare — serves hearty beer chow like US-style BBQ ribs and ribs platters, loaded and beef nachos, Spanish-style sisig, stout-marinated isaw, buffalo wings, and fish and chips, with mocktails for non-drinkers. Live bands play on weekend nights, so it gets packed — arrive early for the best seats. It's a casual, lively, pay-as-you-order spot, with canned and bottled beer and merch available for takeout.
