The Mansion (Baguio Mansion House) is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines, commissioned in 1908 as the official residence of the US Governor-General and reconstructed in 1947 after heavy WWII damage. Originally built under Governor-General William Cameron Forbes — who named it Mansion House after the summer home of his family — its architecture mixes Spanish Colonial Revival touches with a grand gate often likened to the one at Buckingham Palace, and it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2009. Just across from Wright Park, its most photographed feature is that stately gate. In September 2024 it opened its gate to the public as a Presidential Museum, where before then visitors could only view it from behind the gate. Inside, the museum showcases rooms of presidential memorabilia, portraits, and artifacts chronicling the lives and legacies of the leaders of the country; it is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8 AM to 5 PM, admission is free, and guided tours are available by reservation through the official website, with walk-ins accommodated based on availability. The manicured lawns and gardens are open to wander, and it pairs naturally with Wright Park next door and the Botanical Garden nearby.
