Mt. Yangbew is the highest mountain in La Trinidad, at 1,648 meters above sea level, with its main jump-off at Sitio Binat, Barangay Tawang, about 10 km from Baguio City. It is also called "Mt. Jambo" because it was used for the National Scout Jamboree of the Boy Scouts of America during the American era, and it earned the nickname the "Little Pulag" of Benguet because some of its spots — especially the "sea of clouds" before sunset — resemble Mt. Pulag. Despite the stunning photos, it is an easy baby hike, about 20 to 30 minutes to the top, with the steep paved first stretch being the hardest part before the trail turns to dirt. The vast, grassy summit is dotted with limestone formations and offers panoramic views of the La Trinidad valley, Baguio, and the surrounding Benguet peaks, making it a favorite for sunrise, sunset, photography, and even mountain biking. A ₱30 environmental fee is collected at the jump-off, and it pairs well with nearby Mt. Kalugong or the La Trinidad Strawberry Farm.

Usually busy at these times — based on typical patterns, not live crowd data.
Sunrise or before sunset for the "sea of clouds"; the dry season (roughly November to April) for the clearest views. Going early or late also avoids the midday sun, since there is no shade.
Water, sun protection (hat or sunscreen), trail shoes (the path is muddy and slippery when wet), a jacket for the cold summit, cash, and a packed snack.
In La Trinidad, about 10 km / 30 min from Baguio. From the CBD, ride a La Trinidad jeepney and get off at Tiongsan La Trinidad, cross the bridge toward Pines Park, then take a Tawang jeepney and ask to be dropped at Mt. Yangbew; or take a taxi via Ambiong Road (about ₱170 to 200). Register and pay the fee at the jump-off.
Entrance PHP 50 per head. Extras are separate: horse photo PHP 25, horseback riding PHP 150-300, overnight camping PHP 100-150 per head plus a PHP 500 per-group security fee.
