Mt. Cloud Bookshop is one of the most-loved independent bookshops in Baguio, founded in 2010 in a cozy corner of the historic Casa Vallejo by sisters Padmapani (Padma) and Feliz Perez — daughters of director Butch Perez and writer Adelaida Lim of the landmark Cafe by the Ruins. After outgrowing Casa Vallejo and a spell at 1 Yangco Road, it moved in 2026 to its current home on the lower ground of Tulips Place, 3 C.M. Recto Street. The shop carries around 3,000 titles, the vast majority Filipiniana, with a strong focus on Filipino and Asian authors, indigenous-people literature, and hard-to-find titles, plus a reading corner for children and a #readlocal subscription that mails a Filipino book a month. More than a store, it is a literary hub that hosts book launches, readings, and open mics for local writers — a genuine Baguio landmark for book lovers.
